I picked these up alongside a few other pairs of "high-end" socks for a backpacking trip through southeast asia. After reading through nearly a hundred different sock reviews (exciting I know), I finally decided on my final 3 pairs:I’ve been wearing this brand of socks for years. However, the quality is diminishing. The socks are not lasting as long as before. Regardless they are still my favorite socks for extreme workouts and long runs.I love these... I was spending a week in Phoenix, AZ, outside most of the day in 105-110 degree heat, so I wore these with some mesh-type running shoes, and between the socks and the breathable shoes, my feet were never uncomfortable. When I took my shoes off at the end of the day, I'm pretty sure if I had been wearing cotton, my socks (and feet) would have been soaked and itchy, but with these socks, it wasn't a problem. They are just thick enough to give a bit of cushioning, but they don't add too much weight or bulk. I got a total of 3 pairs, and the quality was good across all 3 - they seem durable, and I didn't find any manufacturing problems, wear and tear issues, etc.I wear a 10-1/2 men's shoe, which puts me right at the top end of the Drymax "L" range, but I tried the "L" size, and it fits me just right. Be sure you take a look at the Drymax size chart, because it's a little different from standard sock sizes.I'm happy with my purchase, and I'll probably be wearing these any time that I expect to be in a "hot-foot" type of environment.Ok, so two things: If you're looking for comfortable, moisture-wicking, odor-control socks, you will love these. They keep your feet cool, and control odor. Awesome! However, as someone with small feet (US women's size 5) despite these being a "Small", these are still definitely made for people with larger feet. They are not as large as most one-size socks, but because they are larger, they don't stretch out so much so they're thicker. However, I still recommend them as, out of the selection small-footed people have, these do what they're supposed to and I doubt you'd be disappointed with performance. These socks are more fragile than standard crew socks, aside from that they are very well designed socks. One detail you don't see in the picture is there is a small tab where your achilles tendon is, with a vertical stripe pattern on it. This seems to be intended to aid in putting the socks on as well as extra cushioning.Good-easy to put on-comfortable to wear-top of the line moisture control-Decent odor management (not as good as merino wool socks)Bad-Can't handle being walked on for very long (the fabric scuffs up quickly on paving stones)-Had to buy a size below my current size in order to get a good fitI really was hoping that at the price of the product I would get more than one pair. Alas, hopes were dashed. I mean, really, it's a sock. You get one pair. The three stars is for the lack of value. When they came in and I saw what I got, I had to laugh. My wife was like, that's all you got? Quite ashamed as I am usually a really good buyer of products in terms of dollars spent versus value received.Didn't see or feel any benefit when I wore them during my workout. For me, it was just like wearing any other pair of socks. I really just purchased them because they match my blue shoes and it's so hard to find a pair of blue socks.I certainly will not be making this purchase again.I chose these socks because of other reviews - I'm a runner and this sock was PERFECT for me in all weather conditions. It's a thicker sock, which is great because i have narrow feet. Its great at wicking moisture and proved that it wouldn't give me blisters while i crawled through knee deep water and ran through mud, climbed and ran for 3 miles. These socks are also perfect running in 70 +degrees, they keep my feet dry and comfortable. By FAR my favorite running socks - love them more than my feetures! They even washed up nice after my 3 miles of mud.
